Scientific Equipment for Pharmaceutical & Biotechnology Operations

Technical equipment for validation, airflow visualization, laboratory work and contamination-control support in regulated life-science environments.

Airflow visualization and smoke studies

Visible fog is used to understand airflow direction, turbulence, dead zones and interaction around critical work areas. The equipment decision starts with the enclosure or room, required visual distance, working-fluid constraints and where the fogger can be placed during testing.

Laboratory and validation sourcing

GSE also supports technical sourcing where validation teams, engineering and procurement must align on one equipment specification. Send the application, room or enclosure details, any governing procedure, and the required delivery date.

Controlled-environment context

Airflow visualization starts with the procedure and pressure map

For cleanrooms, isolators, RABS and biosafety workspaces, the useful RFQ describes where fog is generated, where it must travel and how the space is pressurized.

Working-fluid restrictions, sanitation procedures, operator access, camera placement and hose routing can influence the platform and accessories. Treat those as selection inputs—not details to resolve after delivery.

Validation-study inputs

  • Room or enclosure dimensions
  • Positive, negative or neutral pressure relationship
  • Fogger position and hose route
  • Desired visual distance and recording approach
  • DI, sterile, WFI or LN₂ process constraints
  • Applicable internal SOP or protocol requirements
  • Required accessories, documentation and date

Protect the handoff from validation to procurement

Do not reduce a study requirement to “one smoke machine.” Preserve the environment, fluid, pressure, hose, accessory and document requirements in the purchasing package.

Frequently asked questions

Buying and specification questions

Answers are intentionally scoped to the purchasing decision. Final engineering details, configuration, price and lead time are confirmed in the quotation and manufacturer documentation.

What information is needed to select a cleanroom fogger?

Provide the test-space dimensions, pressure relationship, fogger location, hose route, required visual distance, working-fluid restrictions and procedure requirements.

Can GSE recommend equipment for an isolator or RABS?

GSE can help review equipment fit, but the geometry and pressure relationship must be supplied. Positive pressure and restrictive hose routing can materially affect delivery.

Are CRF foggers water-based?

Yes. CRF3 and CRF6 are ultrasonic systems designed around approved water inputs such as DI, sterile water or WFI as confirmed for the current configuration.

Is the AP30 an ultrasonic fogger?

No. AP30 is a self-pressurized liquid-nitrogen fogging platform.
