AP35 LN₂ Fogger

A dewar-style LN₂ fogging platform for high-purity airflow visualization where longer visible travel and larger study coverage are required.

ManufacturerApplied Physics CorporationAP Series dewar-style LN₂ fogger

Where this model fits

AP35 remains a distinct dewar-style AP Series option. It is evaluated for larger cleanroom and controlled-environment studies that need dense, high-purity LN₂ fog and longer visible travel than compact ultrasonic systems normally provide.

Technology and working inputs

The AP35 combines liquid nitrogen with approved water inputs in a passive/dewar-style configuration. It is not the same architecture as the self-pressurized AP30. Those platforms should be compared by study geometry, operating workflow, output needs, transport, filling method and the facility’s approved procedure—not treated as automatic replacements for one another.

Typical application lanes

  • Medium-to-large cleanroom airflow visualization
  • Longer-distance smoke-study video capture
  • Semiconductor and pharmaceutical controlled environments
  • Barrier, process-equipment and room-scale airflow mapping
  • Studies whose procedure specifies or favors LN₂-generated fog

Selection discipline

Choose AP35 when the dewar-style workflow and high-purity output fit the site. Evaluate AP30 when a self-pressurized medium-output platform is preferred, AP50 for higher self-pressurized output, or AP95 for larger dewar-style capacity.

Fields to confirm before award

Fogging platform Dewar-style LN₂ plus approved water input
Selection position Higher-purity, longer-distance, larger study coverage
Architecture distinction Passive/dewar-style; not the AP30 self-pressurized architecture
Quote inputs Coverage, runtime, outputs, filling workflow, hose route, facility procedure and accessories

This table is a purchasing framework, not a substitute for the manufacturer’s current quotation, manual or approved facility procedure.

Do not size by room volume alone

Delivery geometry can matter more than the nameplate

Hose diameter, length, bends, reducers, elevation, outlet fixtures and enclosure pressure can materially change delivered fog. The selector narrows the starting model; the RFQ must describe the actual route.

Frequently asked questions

Commercial and specification questions

The selector and page content narrow the requirement. The formal quotation confirms the current configuration, commercial terms and included documentation.

Is AP35 discontinued or replaced by AP30?

No such claim is made here. AP35 and AP30 are treated as distinct architectures, and current availability is confirmed at quotation.

Is AP35 self-pressurized?

GSE positions AP35 as a dewar-style LN₂ platform, distinct from the self-pressurized AP30.

Why select AP35 over an ultrasonic fogger?

A project may favor LN₂ fog for purity, visible travel, output or procedural reasons. The actual study requirement controls the choice.

What should be included in an AP35 RFQ?

Include study area, pressure relationship, required visual distance, runtime, outlet and hose plan, filling/handling constraints and documentation needs.
