Commercial and specification questions

Are PSL and silica interchangeable?
No. Optical response, density, surface properties, stability and method compatibility can differ.
Is nominal diameter enough?
Not for many calibration methods. The assigned value, uncertainty, distribution, material, matrix and certificate fields may control fitness for use.
Can one standard support every particle counter?
Not necessarily. Instrument method, channel, concentration, sample preparation and calibration procedure determine suitability.
Why does the selector ask about use cadence?
Recurring or multi-instrument use can change packaging, lot-control, inventory and documentation planning.
