Corrections and technical content updates
A strong technical site needs a documented way to challenge, investigate and correct the record. GSE prioritizes corrections that could change equipment selection, validation scope, safety, regulatory interpretation, manufacturer attribution or commercial expectations.
What to send
- The exact GSE page URL
- The statement or table entry being challenged
- Why it is inaccurate, incomplete or outdated
- A primary or official source supporting the correction
- Your relationship to the subject, when relevant
- Whether the issue creates an immediate safety or procurement risk
Use the technical RFQ/contact path and place Content Correction at the beginning of the application field. Do not submit confidential or export-controlled material through a public web form.
Review process
- Preserve the claim: record the page, statement and date observed.
- Identify the claim type: regulation, standard, manufacturer specification, commercial term or editorial analysis.
- Check the controlling evidence: use the applicable source hierarchy.
- Resolve conflicts: seek written manufacturer or source-owner clarification when public materials disagree.
- Correct proportionately: update the page, citation, structured data and machine-readable indexes that carried the claim.
- Document material changes: record a concise correction note when the prior statement could have influenced a decision.
What a correction does not mean
Changing a page does not retroactively alter a quotation, contract, manufacturer document, approved validation protocol or governing regulation. Those records follow their own change-control processes.
Update cadence
GSE uses a risk-based review cadence. Standards and regulatory watch pages are checked more frequently than stable glossary definitions. Product pages are reviewed when manufacturer information changes or before a high-consequence quotation. Commercial claims are never carried forward solely because they appeared on an older page.
